MSDynamicsWire Network is integrated with Twitter Sign-on

In order to provide the MSDynamicsWire readers a collaborative platform to exchange ideas, there is a Network that is started a week ago. Since MSDynamicsWire caters to all Dynamics products, the network is open for all people whose interest is Microsoft Dynamics. Since its inception, It is receiving good response from our Dynamics community, members base increasing from 0 to 120 within 5 days and lot of members coming forward with great ideas. My passion towards MS Dynamics keep me engaged in coming up with new ideas all the time and I continue to explore in that direction in future as well, thanks to the sustained support from our Dynamics community. Keeping in view of the growing membership, I decided to give a charge to this new network in the form of bringing new features to it. Some of those new features introduced this week are as follows Video and Text Chat :. This will help members to communicate easily whenever they get to see other members online.

How to change the Business Portal Logo

I was actually looking for a solution on this and I’m glad that Allan Cahill from Dynamics GP technical support has provided a great solution recently in response to a question raised by another fellow member on Dynamics GP Forums. You can find the link to this thread by clicking here . Put the new gif (example of type) file in the same folder as the logo.gif (By default, it is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\Business Portal\Portal\Images) 2. On the Business Portal Home Page, go to Site Actions > Site Settings > Title, Description, and Icon (under Look and Feel) 3. Change the Logo.gif to be your image file and click OK. Be sure the URL uses the following path: /Business Portal/Portal/Images/ 4. Click the browser’s Refresh button to display the new company logo. If your company’s logo does not appear, you may need to delete your temporary Internet files. To do so, choose Tools > Internet Options from your browser’s menu bar. The Internet Options window appe

Michael: Avoid GP modifications with VS Tools

Michael has come out with an interesting post on VS Tools for Dynamics GP explaining with a small and crispy example. A must read article for GP developers http://mbsguru.blogspot.com/2009/09/avoid-some-gp-form-modifications-with.html As Mariano rightly points out in the comments column of that article, It looks like an extension to what Mariano has originally started with his VS Tools series.

Facebook: Is it Reliable anymore

Image
Facebook, World’s largest social networking site and the most popular brand best known to everyone of us. Then, Why is the question in the title whether it’s reliable anymore? May be or may not be. Recent developments happening with Facebook can scare anyone.  Have you ever ran into issues with your account held with any of the popular services like Yahoo, Google, Hotmail for more than 7 days and don’t know whether your account would ever be restored? Definitely Not. However, It is happening with Facebook, A social networking site with more than 300 million users. No one knows how many are affected yet. However, Many feel the numbers are quite heavy. I’m one among those unfortunate set of people whose accounts are hanging in uncertainty for more than 7 days. Initially We get to see a normal “Site maintenance error”. Later after the so called site maintenance started attracting media attention, we started seeing a little detailed message which goes like this One can imagine the p

Nigel Frank Annual Salary Survey for MS Dynamics Professionals

Nigel Frank International , one of the biggest Microsoft Dynamics recruiters in Europe is conducting an annual salary survey of Microsoft Dynamics, an exercise of which is to be an annual occurrence. The survey will only take a couple of minutes to complete and your response and any personal details will be kept strictly confidential. The survey is available in the following languages for your convenience; English, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Spanish, Italian, Norwegian, and Finnish. I feel this is a very good initiative and would definitely help MS Dynamics professionals in the form of knowing the latest salary trends by product as well as help fill any gaps in the average pay scales for a MS Dynamics Professional by Title and years of experience. Why can’t we just spare 2 minutes of our valuable time in marking couple of questions on the survey? For those who would want to fill this survey and support the initiative, here is the link for survey http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.
